HD6126 series diesel engine is an up-to date product of high-speed engine introduced from steyr-daimler-puchag Co. Austria, with the total displacement of 9.726L. It has three air intake methods: Natural aspirated, turbo-charged and turbocharged intercooled. The output ranges from 147kW to 240kW, and speed from 1500r/min to 2600r/min, in which the minimum fuel consumption is 194g/kWh. The edges of this series are small volume, light, strong power, low fuel consumption, advanced emission index, minimum interference and high interchangeability. It is widely used in vessels, heavy-duty vehicles, coaches, construction machinery and power generators.
To broaden its application, HD6126 series diesel engine has been developed since 1989. It was supplemented with inter-cooler, exchanger for seawater and freshwater, monitor and seawater pump etc. Besides, the former crankshaft assembly, fuel system, lubrication system, flywheel, flywheel shell and other main auxiliaries were improved accordingly.
The power of this engine is 86-270kW, and speed is 1500r/min or 1800r/min. With electronic speed governor, it also can be assembled with other kind of generator to make into a generating set of 64-250kW. Different types of engines with a speed of 1600r/min or 2000r/min can be available to the customers according to their requirement. Now these engines have become the most ideal power source for the stationary power station, backup power, mid-frequency aero power station and special power supply.
The major features of the diesel engine structure are as follow:
1. The engines have complete installation of diesel engine accessories, such as air cooler and exchanger for seawater and freshwater. The reduction of size and installation workload provides users the convenience in cabin arrangement.
2. The cooling system adopts Inner and outer cycle water-cooling method (). While inner cycle uses fresh water in the cooling process, seawater is used in outer cycle for fresh water cooling through the exchanger for seawater and freshwater, enhancing the durability of the engine.
3. The diesel engines have high interchangeability, with SEA1, 6135C flywheel shell and flywheel connection size, ordinary exhaust pipe and water exhaust pipe.
4. Diesel engines for vessel have comprehensive protection and monitoring system through the use of Digital Intelligent Diesel Engine Monitor. The automatic alarming and operation suspending functions are set when oil temperature, oil pressure, water-cooling temperature and elementary speed are over the limit. Users may also choose Remote Controlling Meter.
